Sightseeing Tour - Asia
Bangkok - Bridge over River Kwai - Thailand
1 Days
While it was quite an unpleasant period in history, this tour visits the prisoner of war camp used during World War II. The area was the site of a railway line ‘Death Railway’ intended to stretch throughout British Bruma to India.
The region of Kanchanaburi sits on the banks of the Kwae Yai and Kwae Noi rivers, surrounded by limestone outcrops and fields of sugar cane so it makes for spectacular scenery! Visit war memorials, cemeteries, exhibits and museums that both reflect and inform upon the sad times
